A crown, also called a cap, is a hollow, artificial tooth used to cover a damaged or decayed tooth. The crown restores the tooth and protects it from further damage. Crowns can also be used to cover discolored or misshapen teeth. Crowns also recommended for most of the teeth that had root canal treatment.
Crown preparation it’s a process of filing down or shaping down the tooth that needs to be restored to accommodate for the crown later. Then impression will be taken of the area to be used to custom made the final crown. The prepped tooth will be covered with temporary crown till the permanent crown will be fabricated. The final crown will be cemented about a week after.
Permanent crowns can be made from stainless steel, gold or another alloy, porcelain fused to metal, or all ceramic.

A bridge, also called a “fixed bridge” or a “fixed dental prosthesis,” is a dental restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth. It extends across an area that has no teeth and is typically made up of an artificial tooth fused between 2 crowns. The bridge is held firmly in place by teeth on each side of the missing one(s) or by dental implants. A bridge is permanent and cannot be removed.
Bridge over teeth is a process of shaping down the 2 or more teeth to prepare them to support a bridge. If there is no healthy teeth to support a bridge then dental implants can be placed to support the bridge.
Implant is artificial root made of titanium alloy that is inserted into the jawbone to replace the root of the natural tooth. The implant acts as an anchor to hold an artificial tooth or bridge in place. Then a model of the teeth is made by taking impressions (molds). The model is used to custom-make the artificial tooth (or teeth) and 2 crowns as one piece. This piece is called a bridge. Meanwhile a temporary bridge will be made and placed on the teeth. Then in the next visit the temporary bridge will be removed and the permanent one tried and cemented with permanent cement.
